WAITLIST for NEW CLIENTS:
* For Massachusetts residents only
* For adults (18+) with OCD and anxiety disorders
* Press button below to fill out a quick form
I will respond via email to confirm that you are on my waitlist or if I think you are better off working with someone else. I may email if I have questions or think we need to set up a brief phone consultation.
Even if you're going to try to find a therapist who can take you sooner, you might want to request to be on my waitlist in the event it doesn't work out with someone else. I have an organized system so you will hear from me.
This spring, I am on a few months pause from taking people off my waitlist as I am taking some time to learn new therapy approaches, to try to get more people trained in treating OCD, and for personal reasons.
SCHEDULING PORTAL:
To cut down on phone tag, all clients are encouraged to use the scheduling portal to request or cancel appointments. For convenience, the link could be saved onto a smartphone home screen or bookmarked on the computer. Please call if you have any trouble getting into the scheduling portal.
MEET WITH TWO THERAPISTS?:
Insurance plans usually are fine with people meeting with two different psychotherapists as long as appointments are not scheduled on the same day. This might be done as a way to check out a couple different therapists for a few sessions before picking one therapist or to work with two different therapists with different specialties. I recommend you plan on meeting with me for at least a few sessions so I can complete an initial assessment and introduce treatment strategies even if you decide to work with someone else.
TYPICAL SCHEDULE:
I make myself available for daytime, evening, and Saturday appointments so I am usually able to accommodate clients' schedules.
TELEHEALTH and COVID-19
While I recently restarted doing in-person appointments, I am continuing to do sessions via telehealth - using Simple Practice's HIPAA compliant video chat technology.
* Clients need to be located within Massachusetts.
* Ten minutes before the telehealth appointment begins, you will receive an email with a link to open the video session.
* If using a laptop or desktop computer with a webcam, there is no need to download any software. You simply open the link from your email to start the session. It is best to use the Google Chrome browser, but other browsers work, too.
* If using a smartphone or tablet, first download the Telehealth by Simple Practice app.
* Please ensure you have complete privacy for your appointment and that your signal is strong (home wifi improvement tips: ask your service provider if you are due for an updated faster cable modem/router which often doesn't cost more; keep wifi router off the floor and away from other sources of interference like a TV).
* See Telehealth Handout by Simple Practice for more information (but this is not necessary).

DON'T SEE YOUR INSURANCE ABOVE?
- You can choose to do self-pay (I do not do a sliding scale)
- Or call your insurance company to ask:
- if they offer "out of network" benefits (eg they cover 3/4 of my fee)
- if you can apply for a "single case agreement" (aka "network exception") - treat me as being in-network because you can't find a specialist who takes your insurance such as with clients needing an OCD specialist. Often approved with a simple form.
SELF-PAY FEES
Major credit cards accepted.
Individual Therapy:
Session length is based on what insurance covers.
45-minute intake: $110
Each 45 min. session: $110
CANCELLATION / NO SHOW POLICY
Whenever possible, please give me at least 2 hours notice to cancel an appointment. Clients who do not give a 2 hour notice are asked to pay a $25 fee.
